Island Hopper Restaurant

While traveling around the great state of Massachusetts, we..well...
got hungry.

Venturing the 20 freezing steps from our hotel to the first packed restaurant we found- we flew into Island Hopper for some southeast asian cuisine to warm our tootsies.

nothing compares to a yummy pad-thai on a frosty night with beautiful company!

quite honestly...

quite honestly, i have found that i don't care too much for winter, for being tired, or for being up for half the night.

i don't care for the amount of time we have to get stuck in one place-it's the gypsy in me, and she seems to be getting incredibly restless. when this happens, things tend to go awry. with me, that is.

i am staring at a stack of old postcards with the itch to get away. thankfully, allllll the negative influences in my life took a hike a long time ago and I am happy. I know I am truly blessed but I feel...yuck.

...like nothing will get done and there is no time.
...like the weather will never stop being disgusting...
...like spring/summer/ SUN is never going to be here.
...like my to-do list may as well sprout legs and kick me in the tushy

hopefully this weekend will improve my mood- i am having a glass of red wine with chicken and potatoes tonight.

at this present moment...

the heat is on non stop in my home...
keeping us warm and safe during the chilliest time of the year...
the coldest since 2009!

the cold water is not working in my pipes- eeps!
and i am to bake yummy things in the oven.
i may go out and brave the cold later for supplies
since we are getting snow again tuesday and wednesday-
and it's not a good idea for me to go outside
when i am already sick. eew.

in the meantime,
my assistant is sleeping...
i am treading through my 'january list' by throwing away papers i don't need...
and daydreaming about spring.

i find when it's cold outside, you always think about the warmer weather...
how lovely it feels when the sun beats against your skin...
right now, if you go outside it's frostbite city.

egads!

no worries- i have so much to do here
that it's ridiculous
and i find myself inexplicably happy
as usual...

and so does pup...

i love making my to-do list for the day

that turns into the to-do list for the week :)

about what happened over the weekend

while i am on line waiting for some java

and dunkin' donuts...

i love to try to figure out how long

it's going to take me to finish the four books i'm reading

only to daydream about which other one i will be

acquiring at barnes and noble...

cooking...

a chicken roasting in the oven

crafts...

my office project

organizing...

all cabinets and drawers-again!

and figuring out...what else i'm going to do today <3

i know the clock turned back on sunday early-morn

but there's still not enough hours in the day!

What else is there to do when you're sick and under the covers for two days? Someone help me!

Update: a few hours later...

*have discovered the wonders of chamomile by drinking 3 cups
*took out my Susan Branch Christmas Keepsake book- and can't believe our first 5 years of Married Christmases are almost over
*realized I cannot listen to some songs without weeping
*literally, weeping
*caught up on my favorite show, Accidentally on Purpose
*almost ate all the peeps

*made hot chocolate
*decided on what to make for dinner (artichokes and peas)
*decided on what to make for dessert (baked apples)

That's good for someone who's freezing and unbelievably ill. Ew.

Oh, and I ordered a book! More about my book issues soon!

Trying to...

(I wish I had one of those right now. 11:40 am be damned....)

Trying to launch your own business really sucks. I'm home, it's really cold and my fingers and toes are frozen. I am at my wits end...and collaboratively me and LML have a fabulous idea this weekend. Act on it now, he says.

Crap, I say.

It's so cold...I have completed my list of 1000 things to do for TODAY- HAHHAHAHA...today- and I am totally overwhelmed as you can tell.

Of course, never mind my writing, my photography, my job that i'm still fighting to get back. Something else. I guess when stuff happens, it happens all at once, right?

Well....at least, to me :)

So as I am going to attempt to stay warm at Barnes and Noble, I hope you all have a warm & toasty Monday...
