Target Optical Sucks!!

This is from my review on yelp!

On October 2nd, I bought my $300 Prada Eyeglasses to target Optical (since I've always sweared by target!) so I can get lenses. I was assured that my glasses would be back and ready in 7-10 days. On the 12th day (!) after three phone calls from me, they tell me that they tried to call me (somehow they had a different phone number on file than the one i had given them) to tell me that my frames are broken...WTF?! but my $170 dollar lenses were there. They told me that John, the regional manager would try to get me the same pair. I waited for THREE WEEKS, for them to tell me (after me calling everyday since I found out my glasses were broken) to give them a style number from Lens Crafters or Pearle Vision so that I can get some sort of restitution. I give them the style number last Monday, and on WEDNESDAY they tell me that I never gave them the style number and John is taking care of them!

On Friday, they hadnt heard from JOhn and they assured me they would call me. Yesterday, I was rudely told they were still working on it after a MONTH OF ME BEING OUT GLASSES AND $400!! and they hung up on me without saying goodbye.

WHAT SHOULD I DO??? i want my glasses!!

Really does anyone know what I should do??

Ah, the Holidays

I love the Holidays. Don't get me wrong. There is nothing I like better than people getting together for the sole purpose of what the holiday is supposed to entail, no matter what time of the year it is.

But it drives me crazy that Christmas is so commercial, that you see fights break out while driving, and in Target! If someone is going to like you less because you didn't buy them anything, should you be buying them anything at all? I thought not...

The holidays usually mean celebrating and sharing with family and dear ones right? These are the people that you let into the nitty gritty of your life, and who know the most about you. I am lucky enough to have a wonderful family...both mine and LML's, I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world...and a handful of friends that I feel are my family. Aren't these the people you tell your deepest, darkest to? Right.

Moving on- and forgive me if I go off-track, for I have not yet finished my cup of coffee (#1)...right now I am the happiest girl in the world! There are many reasons for this that I cannot convey, and wouldn't anyway until they happen. Riddle me this... why is it that when you advertise you're happy on facebook AND your female, someone has to ask you if you're pregnant?!

WTF?

I am not talking about family and dear ones...for they are the ones you call all in a row, no matter WHAT'S going on, good or bad. I'm talking about the people who don't normally give you the time of day. If I was pregnant, won the lotto, purchased acres of land, won something...would I tell you? Do you think, from the depth of your mind if you can reach that far...I would advertise it on facebook? Seriously?

Can you imagine?

How come one can't be happy for the sake of being happy. That's all that everyone wants, right? For themselves, at least- and granted, from these other busy-bodies...they would rather you- what? Advertise on facebook that your miserable? THEN they sympathize?!

Does anyone else have this problem?  Please share and help me save my sanity :)

Love,
MG

Frugal Makeup Fun

Ever have those mornings where you don't know where to begin with what's going on? Where, almost accidentally do you go to pour your creamer into a candle, and not your coffee mug right next to it? Where you start writing down appointments in your agenda book- in the wrong month?
That's the kind of morning I am having.
Yesterday morning, started off pretty much the same way. LML told me to write a letter to a hated company- which I'm sure all you homeowners know about, so I won't name names. He called me later on hysterical laughing.
Me: what's so funny?
LML: are you ok?
Me: eh?
LML: did you re-read the letter that you wrote?
Me: No. It was fly by the seat of my pants, so I didn't.
LML: Good. That's why you sound about ready to rip off someone's face.
Me: Really?
LML: (still laughing) I hate you (hated company name here). All you want is more money, more money! People are in dire needs of jobs in this economy, and you try to screw them any which way you can.
Me: I did NOT write that...
LML: It would've sounded more polite...

Yeesh.
Thus, I was forced on a spa day so that I could relax. OK?! Off to the spa I go. (Manicure: Essy Simple. Pedicure: Pink Parka by Essy)
And while I'm there, I'm thinking that the MAC makeover I wanted was $50 worth of makeup. I love MAC makeup, but do I have the time or the energy to sit in the chair for that long, meanwhile I'm doing nothing tonight?
Nope.
I trek on over to Target. Again. You did see this coming, didn't you? I got all this:

for less than $50. It's the same ingredients. I know for a fact they work, because many a makeup artist that I know use them. Did I do a good thing or a bad thing? Let's just say it seems like more bang for the buck...and it makes me happy :)
