welcome to my office :)

today, i am in my office to dodge the humidity. it is supposed to be 90* degrees outside, but the humidity makes it feel like 120. not a drop of rain has fallen yet and this saddens me.

usually, i could decorate the hell out of any space...but my office. my office? mmm...it's going to have to roll with the punches right now. it's going to have to deal with me being able to work in it effectively before i add some finishing touches. so forgive the mess- here are some pictures of the updates :)

the globetrotting gamine's gotta be stationed somewhere, right?!

my assistant supervising the chaos.
an up-close shot of my desk
the catch-all area...
taken on an angle so you can view 2 of my boards...
shelving :) for now...
refrigerator, to be used for my end of summer wine run!
my assistant with one of my manuscripts...you can tell by the post-its!

any tips on how to organize...or install microsoft word...let me know <3

hope you're having a wonderful wednesday!

love,

are you still out there?

dear bloggie friends:

how are you? i am so sorry i have been a horrible blogger! summer proves to be entirely too busy for me. it's been one thing after another...and so much fun!
my favorite thing i have been doing so far is...remodeling/redecorating my basement into different spaces! I've created a home office! SQUEE! I have uploaded some pictures of what's been going on down there...

the top white room is my office. it's not complete yet but let me tell you- once i moved all "office materials" down there, all the rooms up here were PERFECT! It just goes to show that i read too much :)

the yellow room is now white...it's going to be an exercise room/pantry but it will be one of the last things we put together.

and then little guy in the last picture? that's my assistant, supervising the goings on in our office space.

shocking, huh?

have a wonderful week!

wouldn't you know it?

i'm a really bad bloggie-friend.
i'm so sorry i haven't written and i hope that you've all been well.

things got a little crazy here- long weekends followed up by long parties. then things got interesting:
  • got a little sick
  • got back into yoga
  • got mad and decided to finish the book
  • started researching, printing and rewriting
  • photography = snap happy
  • weddings and more family events!
  • editing the book
  • am about to have new office!
  • must redecorate new office!
  • do 1000 things
this next month is going to be nothing short of crazy. home improvements, yard improvements, my best friend's wedding coming up! showers to plan, globetrotting to plan, people to see...

opinions on where to purchase office furniture (new? sturdy? cheap?) and a printer? what kinds?

how would you decorate your office?

lemme knowwwwww

i am one happy cookie

and hope that you are, too <3

New. Novel. Innovative.

Right. My goal is to change my life, right? Not completely, but I'd like to see different places, and try different things. That's how 2009 started off for me and how I'd like to go into September 2010. I want to take those classes, and see those places near and far...LML laughs and says that a lot of people probably don't plan on doing or even thinking about the things I want to have or do. A lot of people don't, however, I am convinced that out there...there are people who think exactly like me.

I wouldn't change anything about my life...I just want to DO and SEE more. Traveling, a class here and there, different cuisines to try to re-create myself.

That's why, when I went to Barnes and Noble yesterday, I purchased for all of $9 this [see above]...

and the accessory pouch...I'm quite excited and quite convinced that these 2 items are the organizational tools to change my life for the better. AND...they're pretty.

Speaking of pretty...I'd love to know how people keep everything organized. Note: I am not a techie kind-of- girl. I would love to be, but I love to write things down and keep journals. I have since I was about 8...and my father threw most of them away in a move which really ticks me off...

That's a story for another day.

What are some key things I can do and add to my new shiny agenda book companion that helped you change your life?? Are there any of your with stories out there? I'd love to hear...

More later, as I've discovered I have a lot of things to say :D
