scrapbook adventure

it took me a while to compile all the photos over the years to put them into scrapbooks.

how do you think my day's- labor of love came out?

i obviously need more embellishments, but please give me some help!

if you scrapbook, what tips can you give me?

wouldn't you know it?

i'm a really bad bloggie-friend.
i'm so sorry i haven't written and i hope that you've all been well.

things got a little crazy here- long weekends followed up by long parties. then things got interesting:
  • got a little sick
  • got back into yoga
  • got mad and decided to finish the book
  • started researching, printing and rewriting
  • photography = snap happy
  • weddings and more family events!
  • editing the book
  • am about to have new office!
  • must redecorate new office!
  • do 1000 things
this next month is going to be nothing short of crazy. home improvements, yard improvements, my best friend's wedding coming up! showers to plan, globetrotting to plan, people to see...

opinions on where to purchase office furniture (new? sturdy? cheap?) and a printer? what kinds?

how would you decorate your office?

lemme knowwwwww

i am one happy cookie

and hope that you are, too <3

loveeeee,
globetrotting gamine

may scrapbooking-part two

don't forget: all comments on any/all posts is encouraged! also, i love me some e-mails and thank you so much for them :)

my scrapbooking adventures led me to make one for my mom. initially, i thought it would be a mother's day thing. it is, but i realized i could help her clear some photo and stuff clutter in the process. this is what my mom's scrapbook looks like...also a work in progress <3

i shrank all the pictures so that you wouldn't have any difficulty looking at them!

what would you have added to your scrapbooks?

love,
mg

may scrapbooking- part one

(this is a picture heavy post!)
(front cover and inside flap of my travel scrapbook)

on vacation, a very good friend of mine turned around and asked me how my scrapbooking is coming along.
me:  "scrapbooking? wow, i haven't done that in a while now!"
my friend: "what do you mean? you used to do it so much you got me started!"
me: "well, i used to have the occassional scrapbook party..."
my friend: "every month."
me: "yeah...wow, that's something i..."
my friend: "you know, there's a dollar store that has great scrapbooking stuff..."
me: "WHAT?"
my friend: "yeah, i've been making scrapbooks for my family. everything there is super cheap, like 5 times cheaper than it is at target!"
me: "WHAT?!"
my friend:  "ahaha, well, you'll just have to go and see it when we get back."

we got back last sunday. monday morning, after coffee with another near and dear and Mom in tow, we head out to find this wonderful place. after nearly getting lost...thank god for navigational systems... we find it!
and of course, my friend was right.
so i picked some things up:

$28 for all that. not kidding.

so please keep in mind the pictures of my scrapbook are a complete work in progress. i would love to start a scrapbooking community at least through this blog...where we could vent about the projects and give each other ideas...it'd be so fun!
here are what my pages look like so far. please note that i have had about 10 years of hardcore scrapbook stuff collecting.

now you've seen my mess :) i hope that you can help me with ideas. though i've been scrapbooking since i've been 8, i didn't know that what i was doing actually had a name until i was 16. i want to make this book fantastic!

please let me know if you scrapbook and how amazing your projects look!
any ideas and comments, as always, are greatly appreciated!!

much love,
mg

home is where the heart is

(as always, all photography on this is site unless otherwise noted is copyrighted/created by me.
if you like it, send me a note!)

coming back from vacation inspires you.
it inspires you to be a better person, travel more...
clean the house, try new things...see your friends, spend time with the family...
to get rid of toxic influences in your life.

OH! speaking of...

did you hear about the one where the ex-best friend also starts congratulating family members about THEIR invisible babies?

oy.

are you serious?
now, not only am *i* the one who is pregnant, but so is a multitude of other people apparently.

also,
ex-best friend blaming people for *me* attacking *her*.

help.
please.

even though, at the same time (and thankfully) it does make you want to laugh.
um...

doesn't it?

travelling to bermuda and bermuda itself was beauuuuutiful. i will post pictures and stories soon.
today, i hit up a craft store, which i will also be blogging about tomorrow: since it seems like it's going to be a little slower than today.

hopefully.

my plan this week was to:
  • garden- must plant flowers!
  • send out letters
  • create mothers day scrapbook
  • post to you my scrapbook pages
  • answer all the questions you've been sending me, because you're wonderful!
  • tell you travel stories
  • personal trainer- finally!
  • create a travel scrapbook
  • update to-pack list
  • get doggie groomed
  • more grocery shopping
  • squeeze my doggie some more
  • finish my story
  • meet with publisher!
  • read the last of the twilight books, after i buy it.
oh forget it. i can go on and on!

how was your week?

(i found scrapbook deals! yay!)

love,
mg

Days. Time. Puppy.

This is a map out of what my days usually look like...well, what yesterday looked like anyway...

Get up. Get dressed. Hug puppy. Drop LML off. Come home. Make coffee.
Give puppy a hug. Blog. Facebook. Write. Lists. Feed puppy. Play with puppy.

Get in car. Drive to bank. Get caramel light frap from Starbucks. Go to bank again. Go to craft store. Forget what I need. Buy other things from craft store. Leave craftstore and remember what I need.

Get stuck in traffic. Go to parents house. Have lunch with parents. Write in journal. Play with nephews. Gas station. Supermarket. Manicure. Pedicure. Eyebrow Wax. Massage. Gift certificate! Free!

Supermarket. Run into Ex Best Friend. Hug her like I saw her yesterday and flounce away after small convo toward the sushi section. Come home. Eat sushi.

Watch Ghost Whisperer with wine. Wait for LML. Talk with LML while hugging puppy until falling asleep.

More soon! Lots of interesting appointments today...will post later <3
