So that's me, during chemo #10. Yep- hair's trying real hard to cover that head of mine.
It's crazy the amount of things I have to do before chemo is acutally over so I can feel as if I finally have some semblance of freedom.
The to do list keeps growing, and the weather is FINALLY getting so much more friendly that the last thing I want to do is get stuck being fatigued at home.
Today, with the amount of crazy paperwork I had to do, it only made me want to do everything else and I can't help but feeling the teeniest bit of overwhelmed.
What does one do when they're overwhelmed? Well, I'm sure they look at photos of possible future hairstyles, like these!!
Alice from Twilight- I know it'll take me a few months to get here- like 6 months.
at least 5 months to get to this hairstyle- i'm so excited! isn't alyssa milano beautiful??
I think Halle Berry's hair is about the same length as the first photo I posted, so it'll be another 5-7 months.
This photo? I'll have this hair in hopefully a YEAR from now. Sigh.
Can't wait to do this ^ with my hair!!!
So these last two photos are what I'm going to be working with soon. Things are about to get interesting.
(most photos from google images)
Happy Monday!!

more ch-ch-ch-changes
(this was taken 1.13.13- about a month after we shaved it all off. now, i have renegade hairspikes and it's growing in slooooowly. gosh darned chemo.)
cancer sucks ass. isn't life crazy? it seems that when it has just about kicked you into oblivion, it turns around and opens your eyes to more opportunities, and eye openers like never before.
dear universe, i've been listening. i know i should have spent more time out of the house and out of the gym. i'm excited about my upcoming 2nd chance at life and ready to totally do things differently- again. i've also learned, or re-learned, that one is ever-evolving and ever-learning and that love is the only thing that makes the world go round. i've learned, despite what's happened, that i love my body and must do whatever i have to do to protect it. the family and friends who constantly check up on me- i've always known that they were the real 'thang' and still so, so thankful to have such thoughtful, happy and beautiful people in my life.
things i'm so excited to do:
with the upcoming blizzard, i've visited some stores and the library in preparation. we are almost good to go. movies, candles, food, books- check.
with chemo coming up this week, i know i'll be getting in a lot of sleep so i know i'll dream up more opportunities and projects to keep myself busy.
hope no one gets hit hard with the nasty weather, and stay warm, happy and toasty!

things i'm so excited to do:
- more time with family (incl. LML, nieces, nephews, parentals, sisters, etc.)
- movies, especially beautiful creatures, despicable me 2, and watching breaking dawn 2 with my daddy!
- get a manicure and pedicure- finallyyyy (with nail polish from whole foods i'm kinda excited about)
- going back to work (i.e. books, magazine...)
- vacation, all i ever wanted...
- to do lists of things to do--issues, yes, I gots 'em!

days like this = i love coffee
I know, I didn't blog yesterday. I'll totally tell you why. I have so much to say today. For example, men. What's their problem? What do they do, just roll out of bed and figure- hmmmm, today I'll be a douche!
Yeah, I think that's what it is.
Yesterday morning, all was well. Everything was fine. Throughout the day, fine.
He comes home. With a haircut.
Very cute when he cuts his hair, I must say but...
Me:: "OMG, LML. Didn't I tell you not to go back to that guy to cut your hair?"
Him:: "Do you like it?"
Please note: VERY IMPORTANT! I don't usually say anything unless you're really looking like an asshole on whatever given day. I will point out that thing in your teeth, your booger dangling out of your nose, your hair sticking up and your eye crusty...I *will* point it out. When I point out something, I am *not* talking out of my ass and expect people to do the same for me. Which is why I made this comment.
Me::"You're very cute but i don't like the way he cuts your hair. It's like he's pulling down three strands from the back of your head and chopping it off. Why doesn't he buzz it, or cut it evenly?"
Him:: "Ok, don't worry about it."
Me:: "But I TOLD you..."
Him:: "I'm going BALD, ok?!"
Me:: "You're GOING to go bald if that guy keeps cutting your hair!"
Him:: "No, I am bald!"
Me:: "*I* would do a better job cutting your hair, and I've never cut anyone's hair!"
Him:: "Bald!"
You get the picture?
Meanwhile, my chicken and potatoes get *rave*reviews from him...until the next conversation...about a friend's birthday which went pretty much the same way. All night long. Hopefully, the spell broke this morning!
Because all night, he had his boxers in a bunch when I was trying to bother him throughout the Olympics.
Which seriously piss me off by the way. When I was younger, I LOVED the Olympics. Now they have people talking every two minutes instead of showing me the events. JUST SHOW THE EVENTS!
I don't care what you think about how they maneuvered that trick. I don't care that you're an announcer on another channel. I am not watching the Olympics to see you and have you get paid, I want to see the people play in the EVENTS.
You'd think that the Greeks did this at the first Olympics? Yeah, to each other when they were watching it with a group of friends. Not out loud so everyone could hear. Buggers...
Geez.

Signs that It's Going to be a LONG DAY
I was so comfy this morning that I literally did not want to move nor open my eyes. I knew it was going to be one of those days. Why?
1) I had to wake up a half an hour earlier (6am) to drop off LML farther away.
2)It's raining and my windshield wipers are dead
3)It took me a half an hour to drive home from where I was in the rain (i.e. windshield wipers) when it's usually a 10 minute morning drive.
4)I am waiting for 2 packages to come in the mail that have not yet
5)I am waiting on something else that I can't mention until it happens- make that 2 things.
6)My nephew called me at 9 to inform me that he had a high fever last night, so he's home waiting for me. Where am I? When am I going to get there? (No intention of going out today because of said windshield wipers, btw)
7)Forgetting the things I had to do at home, where I was supposed to stay and do them.
8)Traffic going to my parents house to see said nephew- who wasn't there when I got there.
9)Having to go run 2 errands in Guam with family, and getting stuck in an extra hour's worth of traffic.
10)Coming home from shopping WITHOUT AN UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER! (this is annoying because I need an ugly sweater for my bff'a Christmas Party. It has to be the ugliest one...where the hell are they?!)
11)Coming home to a still-sleeping puppy. Thanks, pup.12) Wanting to kick LML for many reasons, though knowing I shouldn't because he's so good to me.
13) Not time to blog, ponder, photograph anything...
14) FORGOT TO SEND OUT THE CHRISTMAS CARDS!
15)Stupid AT&T upping my bill for no reason except that they feel like it...wait until I cancel their service.
16)Stupid weather=stupid hair day.
Blech.
Maybe I will be more optimistic after a glass of wine, and LML coming home? Going to squeeze my puppy...
Love,
MG
