scott joplin

during a weekend a few months back, a dear friend of our took LML and I to a ragtime show dedicated to the founder himself, Scott Joplin.

it was a wonderful show, complete with all of his songs and even a barbershop quartet- and i'm almost positive i've been in the audience of a barbershop quartet performance- i just can't remember when.

when the performance was over, we walked over to his grave-

did i forget to mention that the memorial was being held in a cemetery?

yes, it was totally weird, though not at all creepy. many people gathered in Mr. Joplin's memory. It was an awesome day.

I will post the article about this event once it is posted in the paper!
