Books. Love.

I love books. I always have...my mother used to have a tiny bookcase stuck in the corner of her room...and books overflowed from it! I loved to read anything I could get my hands on since I was about 4. Actually, that's when I started reading the TV Guide. No one believed that I knew when I Love Lucy was playing...I had to keep saying it and saying it...until they asked me what was playing on Saturday at 2...(come to think of it, that's why I can schedule so well  now. I've like that since then, too)...
It was just so great that a few years later I would meet my best friend- who had a serious addiction to all things BabySitters Club. That's when we started reading that series, and Sweet Valley Twins & High. We had a library...
Soon after, we got into R.L Stine, L.J Smith and Christopher Pike. As I grew up, it turned into organized crime novels, anything by Nora Roberts and Sophie Kinsella...and I'm pretty sure those are all my favorites. Aside from the ones that I love to read in the meantime...books are just heaven to me.
I would love to be one of those women that have a library like the one in the Haunted Mansion (the disney movie), or in Beauty and the Beast. It's really a very bad addiction. Magazines, too. You can find me at Barnes and Noble researching ANYTHING, many a day.
Sometimes I think that losing the job that I mentioned probably opened the door to more experiences than I would have had if I was still working. I learned more about life than I probably would have doing the same thing, day in and day out. Maybe it made me understand that for me to grow, the best thing to do would be to start my own business, and start small. To be my own boss was probably the best idea to begin with (so my Mom always said)...and I'll keep reading until the dream becomes a reality.

  1. I dream of the day that I can have a library like that. My hubby keeps threatening that we'll have to get a separate house just for my books, lol.

  2. They just don't get it :) Mine says the same, but then also wants a library like this one day so he can smoke cigars and drink his Jack&coke while doing paperwork! (Me, too!)
